Similar thing here. I was never the angry type. Then some bad stuff happened a year ago, and since then I’ve really struggled with my temper, particularly with people who seem eager to please and impress. Perhaps because I see something of me in them.

Sorry for intruding, but I'm finding this really enlightening. I think I've experienced this from the other side a couple of times recently. I've been very stressed/anxious and I think Ive overcompensated by being eager to please/impress in a weird way
That’s a normal reaction :) when we’re lacking confidence we look to others to give it to us, but the fact that we do so makes us feel annoying, and our confidence plummets further. Self perpetuating problem.
