It's great! I'm transferring my emails to a new address and I found a bunch from way back in 2013. I used to send them to myself all the time (uni was rough), and I still get ones from back then every year or so.

The worst ones are almost better to read, because I think to myself, "That was awful, but I still got through it, and look where I am now. If I can get through that, I can get through X and Y."
