Her eyes widened. She almost wanted to say, “Don’t leave me alone with him”. But that was unnecessary. Jeff was an oblivious, patronising misogynist, but he was harmless — especially against a master bladeswoman, even one with only a butter knife.

Simon slowly began to understand her pain and decided he would stick with her through this (Btw whats her name?)

Ellie smiled to herself, grateful. Jeff shovelled down a prawn and Marie rose sandwich, crustless and cut diagonally across the middle.

Ellie asked for one, but jeff insisted that they were his and his alone, Simon felt bad for her and gave her some of his food, knowing he didnt have much to himself

“Thanks, Simon, but I can handle this,” she said. Without another word, she simply took the plate of sandwiches from Jeff’s hands.

She strode into the fog with purpose. Simon followed sheepishly. Jeff brushed the crumbs off his thick plated armour and jogged after them.

She threw the plate and it’s contents into the unknown. Cursing, Jeff dove after it, after the sweet Marie rose prawn filling. He disappeared into the fog, and for a moment there was silence. Then a loud, crunching sound. ...And a scream.
