Question: has anyone here ever approached manuscript first drafts by writing them as essentially stripped-down screenplays, just dialogue and candid, functional descriptions of what’s happening, as a way to just Get It Down and with the intent of fleshing it into prose later?
Same goes for coding. Like how do you not refactor until you die?!
I literally don’t allow myself to reread anything until I finish the whole thing, otherwise I will get nothing done
Sounds like that’s for the best. I’m trying this thing where I write a summary of the additions after any given session (so I can use that to refresh and won’t be tempted) and don’t edit until I’ve finished draft #1, but I haven’t even finished chapter one and it’s killing me

Tbh it's mostly unemployment... But it's also the need for my sanity. I probably would be criminaly insane without writing.
