When you're so used to looking at game scripts that your prose gets whittled down to dialogue and stage directions. I need to start reading actual books again. At this point, I can barely even remember what else to fill a scene with.pic.twitter.com/0b1bXHj5Ns

Station Eleven is the first novel I’ve read in maybe eight months and I was struck by the artfulness of the prose and the fact that the author could just, like, do whatever they want. Without worrying about scope or budget or etc etc. I experience this after every lapse.

Omg that sounds like a dream! Wait... You mean to say that's actually possible? That's a thing?

Writing poetry after years in games feels like being a kid with the house to yourself while your parents are away like I'm gonna stay up til ten and waste 6 pages describing a sunset! You're not here to stop me, DAD
