Please don't tell me to 'binge' (i.e. Netflix). It can put people like me with a history of disordered eating in a difficult place emotionally (flashbacks), and I'd rather not like you less for what's obviously an innocent mistake. 'Marathon' is harmless.
Mostly when someone says it in passing, it’s just a case of wincing and trying not to let it bother me too much until I forget. But stuff like “This show is great. You should binge it” sets off all kinds of problems in my head that I’m still dealing with
I realise how stuff affects people like me may not be your problem, but consideration costs nothing. And I’ll like you more for it, if that matters to you
