Six months later, when struggling to juggle all three roles has destroyed my mental health: “Yeah so we’re happy to just keep things as they are with you working all three roles with the same old job title and salary. That OK your end?”

OH! Forgot to mention. I also got put on a performance improvement plan in that time because I made a few mistakes. I wonder if maybe that was something to do with working three roles without compensation or recognition...

Also: Got told off for tweeting that people should be nicer to one another. Legit. Apparently I wasn’t representing the company (which says a lot).

AND underwent disciplinary action because I shared a private FB post that called out the fricking abysmal treatment of another colleague’s mental health.

Bonus content! After the six months of three jobs were up, we have end of year reviews: “Yeah, but it wasn’t THAT much extra work, was it?” <— boss of yore, explaining why I got a 3/5, which directly corresponded to yearly bonus grades.

Boss of yore, if you read this... you’re not a bad person, but you need to get better at standing up for your employees and keeping promises in the face of senior management. Please just do better with the next person.

But imma stop tweeting/thinking about this now because bringing up those memories legit still makes my muscles seize with anxiety

Oh, how awfully emotionally and physically stressful! So sorry you had to go through that, I hope you're at a better job now.
