Depends on the person to be honest. I definitely care, and I imagine those who’ve experienced it first hand (or have empathy for those who have) would feel strongly. But yeah, on your other point, my intended point was that the publicity the statement made helped him.
It ties into my other tweet — we’re attracted to things that anger us. Anger releases dopamine, it feels good. So when a scandal comes out, we just elevate the object’s position be thronging to it in anger.

It’s a difficult situation though. It’s inevitable, to a degree. A lot of it is about showing solidarity regardless of outcome and sending a message.

We experience similar crunches in construction, usually towards the end of a project, where my guys are working 6x10s, but I'm guessing we are way more regulated than tech companies, where my guys make time and a half, so they're happy to do it.
