either they saw stuff and came back or word got around stuff was still there, either way security lights, alarms and or cameras tend to put them off. Hope this is and end to it all and this does not happen again to you.

Yeah, I think last time they came they were spooked by how noisy our back door is and by the realisation that we were sleeping on the ground floor. They clocked the other bike the first time but didn't have time to take it, so they came back.
