Well, the more you know, the more you realise you don't know that much at all. Which in turn makes you question how much of an expert on a certain subject you actually are. Which in turn makes you less confident, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That makes you more humble.

Eh, I'd argue that it's a good thing *to a point*. There's humility, then there's "Omg, I'm awful, I'm dreadful, there's only so long before everyone realises, I might as well just give up now". Good to strike a balance ;)
