Also, bear in mind that this is 1) an adaptation and 2) fiction. The showrunners have as much creative agency as they like; they're not bound to stay true to the original. When you adapt something, you make it your own.
Part of the reason the Witcher is such a great IP is that it’s known for exploring notions surrounding ethics, morality, gender, race, etc. So in my book, a BAME cast would be really fitting as the next stage of the story’s evolution. Just my opinion :)
