Yeah maybe unpopular, I would love to know why you would love that though? I don't see it as empowering for BAME people, I feel like 1 of 2 things, either its forcing identitarian politics on people or it's like saying there are no good BAME characters in fiction so change one.
I don’t think it follows that changing the ethnicity of characters means you’re doing so to lack up for a lack of quality elsewhere. I think making the cast more diverse would make the characters more relatable to a wider audience, for starters.
