We lefties are so quick to alienate those in our corner who take a different approach to the same goals, so eager to find something to be offended by. It rarely achieves anything. This clip boasts some uncomfortable truths, but it's well worth the watch: https://youtu.be/0lcYP_zOOXg

"Weird how not engaging 17 million brits and slagging them off instead didn't win them over. But at least yelling 'racist' online made us feel good about ourselves and had no bad long lasting side effects..."

"A lot of people on the left see any kind of criticism of their methods as a criticism of their goals [..] If you call a bunch of people sexist or racist, but they don't believe that they are sexist or racist, all it's going to do is get them to rally around their own tribe"

And the sad part: nobody who needs to hear this will likely read/watch it. Being called out hurts like hell, especially when it feels like you're the butt of a joke. The only people who will see this are those who already agree, and thus it will have no effect.

Ironically, this video will get the same kinda the same reaction from the left as when we aggressively call out the right online. The difference is that a left worth supporting needs to have the humility to self-reflect. That, in my book, is a left-wing value.

Just because your cause is noble does not mean that you are beyond reproach. Stay vigilant, stay humble. Keep learning.
