When I wrote songs and I couldn't think of the next words, I would continue to write the same words over and over until the next word slipped out. Maybe make a bunch of copies of the beginning and start writing a few different next sentences and lay in a hammock to think on it!

As far as fear induced, perhaps writing multiple branches will ease your mind. Also, it's great to have someone you trust to read your stories especially if you're afraid. I have been writing a journal on and off for a year and I'm scared to show it but..

Lol, it's literally 'It's been raining'. I then wanted a mid-length and a longer, more complex one to follow about the mulch from the leaves making things slippery underfoot, and someone about how you're on a seemingly neverending hill...

It's just texture anyway, but for some reason it's really stumping me today. I think I'm just having a bad day.
