If you write all the "bad ideas", they're not occupying your mind anymore. Drawing the wrong solution to problems often led to me figure out what would work better because I could see of visually.
That's a very good point! So it's actually better to get the bad ideas out of your head by spilling them onto the page, or else they'll obstruct the good ideas? Interesting...

Yeah, it was one of the hardest hurdles for me to deal with in college. To be a writer or designer, is just the act of writing or designing. To be a good writer is to write a bunch of nonsense and learn what to throw away. Relevant quote from John Green that I saw years ago.pic.twitter.com/c6ctY1JIia

It's so difficult to stay confident while allowing yourself to suck when all you ever see from successful folks are the polished and perfected published editions! But I do like that quote very much.
