The best advice I ever got was that writer's block simply doesn't exist. It's something we tell ourselves exists while we wait for the muse to knock on our door with magic inspiration. When all we need to do is push through and get words on the page, no matter how bad they are

100% yes. The worst words on a page are still progress. Either you'll find a nugget of gold within, it'll jumpstart your creativity, or it'll suck, but at least you wrote even when feeling like you had nothing to write.

Makes sense. After all, not even Margaret Atwood writes like Margaret Atwood on the first draft...or so I'm reassured!
