First, friends said I didn't stand a chance of getting onto my dream course at @uniofeastanglia. I graduated five years later with a first-class degree. They then told me a creative degree would get me nowhere. Now, I'm a Narrative Designer -- my dream role.

100%. I came out telling people "Well, every business needs someone to write their words". Then I discovered an industry where you could get paid a stable salary to do creative work, and that was it! But even then, it's still totally possible to make a stable income freelancing.
