I really admire it when companies provide opportunities for creativity, allowing employees the freedom to work on other projects. In my experience (and from what I’ve read) it makes employees happier and therefore MORE productive/effective in the long run.

I am still upset jagex cancelled TAPP.
I recall it was the source of a great deal of the updates I wrote about. Without them, there would have been a lot more patch weeks. Lots of the creative stuff I was planning, too, before I decided to leave.
