This may be insufficiently considered but I'm having trouble thinking of truly great productions of Romeo and Juliet beyond Zeffirelli. I can think of pretty-to-very good productions, but which ones, especially recently, were really great?
I really enjoyed Kenneth Branagh's production with Richard Madden, but then I just really like Richard Madden

It was also in black and white (the cinema recording, not the live show -- that would be impressive) which automatically makes me go 'Ooo this must be really classy'
