That's so fun! I'm nosy because I'm attempting a bit of a sideways move into game writing, so I'm very interested in other people's game writing paths. Looks like you've been doing it freelance for a while?

Not that long, actually. About two months? But I was lucky to have lots of game writing/narrative design opportunities come my way on the side while at Jagex, for which I can only thank @JagexOsborne and @JagexOrion, among others. I got my first two credits there.

That's awesome! I'm in localisation, which is very writing-adjacent, but it's hard to convince people that it counts for anything! So I'm working on building a portfolio on my own time.
