Sounds interesting. What do you mean by "deconstructing"?
I was planning on writing my own stuff today, but instead I wrote a 10-page essay deconstructing the first four pages of The Assassin's Apprentice, The Final Empire, and The Wise Man's Fear because I guess why not?? Where is the real Sarah and did you eat her?

Haha. I know I called it an essay, but it’s more like a collection of thoughts. I wrote it for my own reference and as a result it’s not particularly coherent

Fantastic books. Interested what you wrote on the prologue of WMF a silence in three parts is hauntingly beautiful and still adds to the story.

I talked about how describing silence as a lack of noise allows Rothfuss to create tension early on despite the fact that very little occurs (Bast is bored for a good two pages) because we know it precedes drama -- like the calm before a storm.
