Yeah, isn't that terrible? I play most games for the story! Why can't they value what makes those stories amazing?! It is one thing I love about D&D, it greatly rewards imagination and good world building.

100%. Yet a lot of the time I see studios only bring in writers in retrospect, or not bother at all. It’s come up a bunch of times at conferences.

Couldn't agree more. Some of the best games I've ever had the chance to play have been so good *because* of the incredible writing. It's a shame writers go unnoticed so often.
