When my wife had her C-section, her "emergency" anaesthesiologist was out-of-network. We were billed $10,000 for his five minutes of service. We disputed the bill and it was reversed. Idiotic system.
And leaves them unpaid and wary of providing er coverage in the future
That’s great for the patient... but doesn’t sound fair to the doc. Great example how lack of transparency hurts both patient and provider.
