🙊Ethical considerations prevent investigators from conducting the double blind studies on surgical procedures which would establish to the level of truth suggested in this Vox article.

I have asked doctor's for refunds for treatments that don't work so far no luck - but just like anyone else if they don't fix a problem they should have to own up for it.

Pain clinics and their injections...I've heard so many patients state feeling bullied into thousands of dollars for injections and ablation that does.. nothing helpful. :(

To study if a procedure is effective you have to do sham surgery. It’s hard to get people to give consent to that. If a doctor recommended an operation, would you give consent to a enrolling in a study knowing you might get sham surgery?

1stly, sham trials get done all the time. 2ndly, would you knowingly consent to a procedure that has never been properly against placebo? 3rdly, are you happy for procedures to go on, year on year, &expose thousands to potential harms, when u could avoid this with a single trial?
