I ask because my per night stay at the hospital after I gave birth was like $15,000 a night.
Not only that...they billed the baby for the room too! To clarify: we were each billed separately for staying in the same room.

Btw, sometimes these get listed in other ways. I get a $500 bill that lists the head of the dept as provider (in addition to regular bill).
One hopes for a Panama Papers-level leak of "hospital masters"- the list of what a hospital hopes to be paid/what it needs to break even.
Every hospital in the USA knows what every one of their procedures costs- they're businesses, after all.
