What is the best way to finance a single-payer system? Asking for, uh, a friend. (Jk genuinely curious about how to best structure taxes!)

the other factor is bargaining. no other country pays as much as we do, yet they get the goods. why? large single market. deal or no deal.

Economists have been saying for years that one of our worst practices in the US is Health Care being tied to employers. Break the cycle.

I hear ya but I think it's a completely different system. If it's universal coverage, you won't be tied to the employer as people are today

You still have health insurance whether you are employed or not. If you switch jobs, your coverage doesn't change the new employer just pays
