@sarahkliff @ezraklein Lots to improve in HC for sure; but some level of error has to be accepted; context needed to know if this is bad
@sarahkliff @voxdotcom ACA will cause even more mistakes. Hospitals are laying off more doctor/nurses due to the lower pay through the ACA.
@sarahkliff @voxdotcom That equals Syrian dead! Barbarians!!! Why does Pentagon not bomb the heck out of them???
@sarahkliff @voxdotcom You do realize that while HC costs in Canada may be cheaper, wait times are much longer. http://www.fraserinstitute.org/uploadedFiles/fraser-ca/Content/research-news/research/publications/waiting-your-turn-2012.pdf …
@sarahkliff @ezraklein ... Even toys know to put their hands up.... I surrender.. Patient dead
.@sarahkliff @voxdotcom Last I heard it was an estimated 98,000 Americans who died every year from hospital errors.pic.twitter.com/R660J5vEwI
@sarahkliff @voxdotcom Have any of you ever actually worked in healthcare? Any background? Anything?
@sarahkliff How about "interesting" facts. Not "Mind-blowing." "Mind blowing" is being overused to the extreme lately.
@sarahkliff @ezraklein That's only the ones we know of or that they admit to, probably real number is much higher.
@sarahkliff but don't 210000 medical error deaths help bend the cost curve? #slatepitches
@sarahkliff @ezraklein Can you give me a source for the 210,000 killed by medical errors? I've been relying on a dated IOM study=90,000. Thx
I like abd respect your work, @sarahkliff, but most of these facts are being served with a hefty dose of editorializing.
@sarahkliff @ezraklein Fact number 10 - nobody in Washington is going to anything to fix this.

@sarahkliff You guys should look into the role of EMR middleware to help in interoperability and cut these deaths and a ton of those costs
