Separate from last month's court ruling, FDA has approved over-the-counter sale of Plan B One Step for women over 15. http://nbcnews.to/15XZZRY
@bdomenech Per FDA: "Plan B One-Step will be packaged with a product code prompting a cashier to request and verify the customer’s age."

@sarahkliff "It will not be for age where age cannot be verified." What does that mean? -
@bdomenech I think that first use of age must be a typo, should be "sale." Mirrors FDA statement: http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm350230.htm … -
@sarahkliff What type of age verification will be accepted? In NY, for example, don't even get learner's permit til 16. -
@bdomenech That is a question for the FDA - I don't have any info beyond the statement I linked to. -
@sarahkliff Ah, cool. No worries. -
@bdomenech fwiw, you're not the only one with this question!https://twitter.com/rockcreekpolicy/status/329352659473666048 … -
@sarahkliff Yeah, a ton of states don't even issue IDs until much later - 15.5, 16. http://www.iihs.org/laws/gdl_learners.aspx … - 1 more reply
