no lines. no waits. no blocking out time during a work day. no getting fucked with at the polls. (voter registration is automatic in oregon if you go to the dmv)

I'm kinda frustrated that you're assuming that I don't view disenfranchisement and limited access to elections as a major problem. .
-
I just don't get why this aggressive approach,
@sarahjeong. I get how vote by mail is really pleasant, I've done it, too. But it's also privilege to ignore the giant ramifications of losing the secret ballot. There is research on this. -
It's merely pleasant for someone like me, it's the difference between voting and not voting for a huge segment of the population
-
Agreed! But what if, for a slew of people (who overlap substantially with currently disenfranchised groups), it means a coerced vote? I would love to see weekend voting (or holiday voting), month-long pre-voting, etc, long before mail-in voting everywhere.

don't know if you're talking about me or
@umbernhard. Either way, these are unsubstantiated accusations. Security-minded in quotation marks? Come on. Usually tech bros get blamed for ignoring the coercion issues of at-home voting, because privilege. This is just a hard problem.Merci. Twitter en tiendra compte pour améliorer votre fil.
