And ended around 2:10pm. We weren't prescriptive about policy (tried very hard not to be), but gave folks a chance to work through the different challenges and trade-offs moderators face. Or did you mean more public policy discussions?

The latter, it's interesting to see what's going on inside the companies (with respect to both the moderation and the technical side) but the absence of big picture public policy is striking (though possibly it's because no one has a good big picture)

Ha, I think it's more that we (the various organizers) figured that folks in DC have plenty of public policy discussions about intermediary liability and content moderation, so focusing on the practical stuff would be refreshing (with a side of
#SESTA and#Zuckerbowl fatigue). -
is that what the cool kids were calling it? i still shudder thinking about those hearings
