It is young though. It may be a bubble, but if that expands the network (e.g. financial institutions adopting, providing to customers) and there's a little more market liquidity then I'd hope the price stabilizes a little. Or you'd disagree with that?

if financial institutions adopted it and offered it to their customers, governments would aggressively try to regulate it (starting already). Gov't regulation is what enables them to be "financial institutions"

they may not be able to ban it out of existence entirely, but they could fairly easily regulate it out of mainstream usage, which is what I thought you said was required for stable prices...

They could do that now, but in doing that they’d instantly push all innovation to other jurisdictions: which is why they don’t. The BitLicense did that to New York State.
