I've given in to "popular term at expense of policy nuance" on Muslim ban/travel ban. I don't think I'll ever do it for deportation force.

I'd also be fighting harder on the ban if it were in effect, because that's when terms would be affecting ppl's actual decisionmaking

In '15 Trump made a comment (one!) about creating a deportation force, so everyone is looking for something to hang the label on.

No matter that it a) erases Obama and earlier enforcement and b) strongly implies community-wide sweeps/roundups (therefore sowing fear). :/
