Yuri on Ice has better, more complex, and tighter storytelling than Cowboy Bebop. It deserves recognition as a new classic.

If you've been paying attention, there's two narratives inside Yuri on Ice. One corresponds to his free skate choreo (called Yuri on Ice)

That's the main storyline. The second narrative is hidden, happens from Viktor's POV, and corresponds to his short program choreography.

the point for me is that the story the short program tells actually ends at the moment viktor shows yuuri the short program
