Oh god I figured out what I was doing wrong and this is the most embarrassing thing
I managed to drill the pilot holes without incident
Then while I was switching out for a screw head i guess I accidentally set the drill to go backwards
So I was unscrewing the screw and going "are my pilot holes too small?????"
Anyways I did it, I did it, I proved I can live without a man as long as I have access to 100 explaining men on Twitterpic.twitter.com/uZ1DwEiTVL
It took me a goddamn hour to screw eight holes and wow this night has been full of unintentionally sexual tweets
Pilot holes: the foreplay of home improvement
not something i wanted to imagine about tim allen
it can’t really be too small
ok good to know. Fuck, now I don't know why it's not going in
is there something on the other side (pipe, drawer, something metal)? If it’s going in slightly but stopping, it hit something.
could be too small. pretty typical to drill a pilot hole too small the first few times. you can keep expanding and then test
make sure you're applying a lot of pressure to the drill when you're using it
nope, use the next larger drill bit. Looks like it will work good.
firm grip, both hands on drill pushing down genlty squeze trigger
is the drill bit jumping off the screw head? Ensure that the drill, screw shaft, and force are aligned along the same line.
possible; i may have given you bad advice maybe same size? idk ah
still spinning in place?
