Google bludgeons Oracle again for Jaffe's testimony, where he admitted he did not look into whether Java SE's market was harmed.

Hurst says that Google's experts lied when they said Android was not on desktops and laptops.
-
Hurst throws her hands up. "It’s a fraud on the jury! It’s a mockery of the system!"
-
ORACLE: The trial was about Android through Marshmallow. By stipulation!
-
ORACLE: It was a total fraud for their witnesses to parade in here and say that it’s not on desktops and laptops.
-
ORACLE: ... and then on the day of close to say it’s on every laptop and desktop.
-
Google says that ARC on Chrome OS uses fewer of the infringing APIs than Android does [?] and that it cuts against Oracle's own case.
-
Oracle now reading out snippets of Astrachan's testimony & Van Nest closing argument
-
Hurst throws up arms again and starts shouting, "This is outrageous! They’re lying to the jury!
-
Alsup asks why she didn't bring up what she knew about Arc earlier.
-
ORACLE: What Anderson is saying is you’re putting on a pretty good act. ... What do you have to say to that?
-
Hurst now reading an Ars Technica article out loud.
-
Apparently Ars Technica said: "The shocker is that this is not based on Arc."
-
ORACLE: This was a SHOCK to the industry and to us.
-
ORACLE: Ars Technica, the premier publication in this industry, called it a shocker. SHOCKER.
-
I still think it's highly unlikely that there will be a new trial but yeah I think there were some curious decisions at Google I/O this year
-
ORACLE: The versions of Android are what are at issue. Where they put those versions don’t matter.
-
... ??? So do they or don't they???
-
ORACLE: The jury in the first case did not consider just phones and tablets. The jury form itself talked about java and android.
-
ORACLE: It was not a device specific trial.
-
ALSUP: We already said we’re going to have another trial on all of those other products.
-
Troll.
-
Now returning to the costs bill. Asks that they reach an agreement and send him a joint letter.
-
GOOGLE: We hope so, your Honor. ALSUP: Hope springs eternal.
-
We're done. Piece forthcoming.
-
I have some thoughts about the incredibly awkward timing of Google I/O.
