Youtubers have been screaming for years that humans need to watch videos before DMCA notices. The more public fuckups the better
I think that's an interesting question here: what's the remedy if rightsholder's DMCA-bot consistently fucks it up?
512(f), because DMCA bots shouldn't be operating without supervision.
Do you know if it's actually been tried against an auto-takedown filer?
Not that I know of, but Lenz would imply a 512(f) violation w/r/t DMCA-filer bots.
I think this is a uniquely Youtube issue. When you file a takedown request it isn't a 'real' DMCA. Clearly IANAL
this case involves Vimeo, not YouTube.
it seems no different from posting a compressed version of a movie to me. Just a weird compression algorithm
i agree
the hype/news over this seems weird, like stuffing a neural net in your compressor makes it somehow special (it's not)
well what if we add a blockchain to that
is this a Silicon Valley episode
only if we erase ourselves and add 30 useless men to this twitter conversation
and then all the men argue about tabs vs spaces
