the Gawker post that outed Peter Thiel is 20% nicer than most Gawker posts http://gawker.com/335894/peter-thiel-is-totally-gay-people …pic.twitter.com/LS4Bd9vihZ

what a world
There's so many layers. I can't understand the choice to post the Hogan tape, also can't understand Thiel going full Count of Monte Cristo
Guys, I get why Thiel was pissed.
I just don't really see the need to speculate that one of the most powerful people in the world was endangered by being outed.
it sounds dumb to say, but billionaires are actually people too, with feelings and everything. most of them anyway.
yeah. i acknowledge that. it's different from speculating that the outing put him in actual harm's way.
I'll definitely agree with you there. FWIW probably anti-Thiel for 1A reasons, but I can't say how I'd react in his position.
oh, I'm not saying it's irrational or crazy that he reacted very strongly to the post
yeah, the compliment is completely beside the point
"no offense sir, but outing your homosexuality is really profitable. Please accept our worthless fucking apologies."
the guy who wrote that has long left Gawker and is now biz editor at SF Chronicle
I don't like the precedent/roadmap that the lawsuit funding approach sets and the Valleywag post was highly offensive.
