@SarahNEmerson although i know it's not true because my skin is currently better than it's been in years? -
@sarahjeong idk sarah, when i read all those blog posts from beauty bloggers the science of it all made so much sense -
@SarahNEmerson it makes sense to me too but there's no way pH is the only thing that matters here -

@sarahjeong i discovered a community of women on reddit who test every single product with pH strips, including their tap water -
@SarahNEmerson yes, I found their spreadsheet and I'm despairing because my favorite cleanser has a pH of 9 -
@sarahjeong no it's okay! just use a pH balancing toner to bring your skin's pH back down to a 5.5 -
@SarahNEmerson these acid toners are so expensive... I immediately googled for the pH of witch hazel, which is about 3. ....thoughts? -
@sarahjeong@SarahNEmerson I exfoliate with a slice of pizza -
@emanuelmaiberg@SarahNEmerson what's the pH of pizza -
@sarahjeong@SarahNEmerson I'm just savoring life before Angela finds this thread and I get a bunch of new ph stuff in my bathroom -
