My parents carried mouthwash in the car rather than give up eating kimchi. Today I watch white hipsters line up for kogi tacos.

Kids eventually stopped yelling "yuck" when I had rice and seaweed for lunch. Now toasted seaweed is a low carb snack at Trader Joe's.
