@sarahjeong what if chuck johnson decides what's "newsworthy"? (and the after you recoil in horror, ask: maybe that's not so bad? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
@adamsteinbaugh i'm busy with work, too swamped to do this tbh :( but yeah this is fascinating

@adamsteinbaugh honestly the verdict is going to be more important. i can't imagine anything interesting raised at trial -
@sarahjeong the verdict will be more important for the message it sends, but the legal issues won't get hot until the appeal. -
@sarahjeong (unless the verdict is for Hogan and for like $10k and Gawker decides the appeal isn't worth it.) -
@sarahjeong ((or maybe Gawker watches People Vs. Larry Flynt and, inspired, takes this up to SCOTUS on principle.)) -
@adamsteinbaugh I'd love that but idk if they have the money? -
@adamsteinbaugh and I don't think it's a good enough set of facts that someone would take them pro bono -
@sarahjeong if it got to SCOTUS, I could imagine some enterprising free speecher taking it pro bono. - 3 réponses de plus
