Sensitive millennials quite upset by article pointing out sensitivity of millennials.
@Popehat I’ve seen many descriptions of campus incidents from my own alma maters that do not sound familiar or resemble my own experience

@sarahjeong I was under the impression that "your description doesn't match my experience" wasn't acceptable argument. -
@Popehat what else to turn to when it's a lot of statements on what the "campus environment/culture" is? -
@Popehat the debate is already Bad because the way it started is Bad -
@Popehat it consists of taking discrete incidents and then connecting them into an overarching pattern, then “millennials are too sensitive" -
@Popehat the leap between the incidents and the pattern largely consists of vague statements like “the campus culture is different now" -
@Popehat you could tell a reverse narrative by picking incidents of an opposite nature and then making same statements to present a pattern -
@Popehat then it turns into “people are parading around bloody abortion pictures and lynching in effigy, why is campus discourse so brutal” -
@Popehat then you can bring in something unrelated (Yik Yak!) and conclude that millennials are the most cruel and insensitive generation - 2 réponses de plus

@Popehat there’s a predominant narrative that is driving how these stories get plucked and presented, or in some cases, made upMerci. Twitter en tiendra compte pour améliorer votre fil. SupprimerSupprimer
