It doesn't matter. January 1st is my birthday now. You can't just lie on Facebook without consequences. Everything on Facebook becomes true

FYI, this is the reason why (many) people should be paranoid about birthdays. http://www.darkreading.com/risk-management/social-security-number-prediction-makes-identity-theft-easy/d/d-id/1081144 …
-
Worse, Social Security Numbers are determined by date of birth / place of birth. http://arstechnica.com/science/2009/07/social-insecurity-numbers-open-to-hacking/ … So if you're born in the US...
-
That said, I wasn't even born in the US, so I don't know why I would be so paranoid.
-
@sarahjeong I think "place issued" would be more correct. Mine not from POB, but from pl. issued b/c I got it at 19-yo, though born in US. -
It’s true, but the security issue arises when you put both your birthday and hometown on FB—highly likely to be place issued.
@ramoncreager -
@sarahjeong Agreed. Good that they are now aware of that.
