@sarahjeong yeah - the idea that anyone who goes on to be a PD or work with rape survivors will learn the law from crim is ridiculous. -

@KendraSerra it's also dumb to conclude TWs impede learning law. & Nobody uses TWs at Harvard. Never knew anyone who asked for one either. -
@sarahjeong yup. Also pro tip to profs: if students are telling you not to teach rape in crim, maybe you aren't teaching it very well? -

@KendraSerra In my class we didn't learn about property crimes, any 4th Am issues, or police entrapment. Why include rape and not those? -
@sarahjeong EXACTLY. It's a constructed, fake subject, meant to teach "how to think like a lawyer." Why bother with rape? -

@KendraSerra It comes out of tradition, and tradition isn't neutral. Or even particularly educational or effective.
