@freebsdgirl in the criminal system, prosecutors can decline to pursue your case / civil suits are difficult to mount -
@sarahjeong why wouldn't they pursue the case? not enough evidence? not enough time? or just plain prejudice/bias? -
@freebsdgirl oh god, I can't speak for individual prosecutors, but as a gross generalization: fuckers don't care -
@freebsdgirl I mean, the other thing is that they want to win cases, and it's horribly easy to derail a jury in a rape case -
