@sarahjeong It’s not even a free speech issue. Twitter is a private space, and having access is a privilege, not a right. -
@sanspoint 1) Twitter has billed itself as the "free speech wing of the free speech party" for ages. Particularly as an activist tool. -
@sanspoint 2) This new tool is unprecedented in how it works. And it's only been deployed for VIPs. -
@sanspoint 3) This is obviously not a good mass solution, because it becomes comically overbroad when applied universally. -
@sarahjeong It’s interesting to see how they manage it, but the news of harassment via Twitter isn’t good for their bottom line.
