I've always wondered how people that fled from US prosecution can now afford to live. Like Snowden. Does he have a job?

@sarahjeong oh, neat. That makes sense. I thought that it was difficult to get jobs in other countries without work visas and such. -
@freebsdgirl yeah I'm not 100% sure how that works with asylum in Russia but it seems like that would give you a work permit -
@freebsdgirl but yeah I think he was quite vulnerable before receiving asylum -
@sarahjeong i've had friends in the same situation of fleeing US. they were lucky enough to have companies here paying them under the table.
