so a lot of speech—the "jokes," hints at knowing details of your life, a game where yr face gets punched—falls outside the scope of the law
but it's deeply wrong to only consider "true threats" (as defined in American jurisprudence) to be real harassment

the legal system doesn't determine what violence is fake and what violence is real. we're all perfectly capable of seeing for ourselves

@sarahjeong's rant last night brings up good points. I'm noticing how supposed anti-authoritarian online harassers hide behind "the law." -
"Authority" is bad when it's convenient for anti-authoritarians. Otherwise, it's totally legit.
