It's too hard to interact with other users on Ello. Comments get jumbled regardless of timestamp, no threading, no rebroadcasting buttons

Yeah sure this is all stuff that can be fixed. But these aren't new innovations, they're basic bulletin board features

Ello IS pretty, which I'm not going to discount.
@nathanjurgenson isn't impressed but tbh it matters a lot to me bc I'm superficial I guess -
Say LJ is about carving out identity through personal narratives. MySpace is a transition from that to FB, which is about identity thru +

much smaller chunks of information such as updates & interests (early on, filling out forms / later, liking pages) + media like photographs.

Twitter is more of a supplementary form, like the channelless IRC that constantly repeats itself.
-
Tumblr is longer form, but same mechanisms of tagging and rebroadcasting. Less like a chatroom, but similar mode.

-
Status updates. With little interactivity. Whoop-de-doo.
-

-
I mean, GIFs are good? So is Ello like Tumblr but for white media people?
-
I mean, whatever, I enjoy messing around with new things. Still gonna play with it for a while yet.
