@mathewi The alternative is simply allowing this new feudalism to continue, or to segregate the internet by nation-state.

@sarahjeong: My default position is the libertarian one -- and I become more committed to it when I see how the UK and other handle it

@mathewi another thing that I might add is that applying free speech absolutism to the internet is a reinvention of free speech in itself :) -
@sarahjeong: I'm aware of that :-) but to me, that was always one of its best principles -- a tolerance of literally every kind of speech -
