@sarahjeong At least with a camera trap the photog sets up the camera composition (a bit) before leaving to let the sensors trigger. -
@michaelk42 there's a lot the photographer does there! It seems like only a little but in terms of artistic choices, many are made -
@sarahjeong Or: dude's wrong but I can see where maybe he really thinks he's justified -
@michaelk42 tbh I think he didn't tell the complete story about the monkey "selfie" and he may have had more creative input -
@michaelk42 but then people wouldn't have cared as much about the photo! -
@sarahjeong Yep, I agree that's pretty damn likely. And now it's coming back to bite him in the ass via Wikimedia. XD

@sarahjeong what about selection and preservation of the image? (Or even post-processing?) -
@PaulGowder arguably he created derivative works of a public domain work, so it depends on whether he added enough creativity/originality?

@sarahjeong With a camera trap, there is at least creative intent. He doesn't even say he GAVE the camera to the monkey.Merci. Twitter en tiendra compte pour améliorer votre fil. SupprimerSupprimer
